Are you ready to create your best unicorn party? EVER?
You might be wondering “where do I start”?
Well you’ve come to the right place! Not only will we show you some of our own ideas, we’ve also gathered up some truly creative inspirations from around the web.
So let’s get this show on the road!
Your best unicorn party starts here-
First of all, you’ll need party favors that carry your unicorn theme. Little windowed boxes, tied with co-ordinating ribbon and a sweet unicorn tag are a perfect choice for favour packaging. You can fill the boxes with candies, chocolates, rainbow bark or a unicorn sugar cookie.
For slightly larger favours, such as unicorn popcorn or slime, use a gift bag (solid colored bag above and “thank you” bags below) that can also be decorated in your unicorn theme. NOTE: be sure to put your popcorn and slime into one of these clear cello bags first before you put it into the giftbag! Trust me on this!!
These white flip top windowed boxes make great favour packaging for food items as well.
Since curling or satin ribbons come in so many colours, it’ll be easy to match them to your unicorn theme. And use it on everything! Ribbon is inexpensive and it really adds to your favor packaging.
Small things can make a big difference in your party decor. Enhance your best unicorn party with a small touch like a unicorn cake topper or cupcake toppers. So perfect!
Add matching unicorn or coloured paper straws to put into little bottled drinks! You can even use them for marshmallow or cake pops.
Now your best unicorn party should really have a mindblowing backdrop for a couple of reasons-
- you can use it behind the food table
- decorate the front of the food table
- use it for a photo backdrop
- it sets the whole tone for your party!
For our display, we created this amazing fringed backdrop out of coloured tissue paper. Isn’t it stunning?! It’s super easy to make too.
Tissue paper fringe backdrop-
Use a full sheet of 20″ wide by 30″ long coloured tissue paper.
Cut the tissue paper sheet in half lengthwise so you end up with 2 strips that are 10″ wide by 30″ long.
Fold you piece of tissue paper in half so you now have a 10″ wide by 15″ long piece. You should now have a double layered piece of tissue paper.
Starting at one end, make 1/2″ cuts all along the whole piece of tissue. Be sure not to cut all the way through!
Keep repeating these steps with all the coloured tissue you’ll need for your backdrop.
For our backdrop, we also added some tissue paper flowers along the top. Follow our easy how to tutorial here on how to make them. The flowers added to our overall display plus they also covered up the top of our tissue fringe.
And BALLOONS!! What party would be complete without balloons!
Oh to be kid again *sigh*
